Thats what my riding buddy said. I got the 36 inch waist but im sure i will shrink down after a few mouths of MTBing. So im glad it has the pull elastic on both sides and the zip tie clip on the front. I also got a chance to try them when riding and crashing. Theses shorts are long. With shinguards on my legs were untuched when the trees started to whip me. and when i crashed (not like i wanted to) it stood up to the rocks my butt went sliding on.

You could find cheaper MTB shorts out there but its you butt flapping in the wind!

I'll start this review with the negatives. The bike did comealmost fully assembled BUT ... the brakes were reversed, the headset was assembled incorrectly and if I didn't know much about bikes the instructions were vague.

Now for the good. The folding frame works great.I have a bike that can go off road and that gets small enough to fit in a raft or canoe. I upgraded the crank and added a front derailuer and shifter so that I could have an 18 speed. That cost another $30.

If you want a neat little bike to bring into places you might not otherwise be able to this is a cheap way to go. The frame is good enough that you could upgrade it. If you want a serious mountain bike this isn't for you. If you want a dedicated road bike, this isn't for you. If you want a bike that can do a little of everything, pack small, and doesn't cost much, this is a great bike.

Jersey runs small. An REI (Novara) XL is baggy on me and with this one, an XXL is a bit snug but wearable. The material is thin - good for summer. The jersey is much shorter than the REI jersey I have - it doesn't ride up enough to expose skin while I mountain bike, but I do find myself tugging it down periodically.

These gloves offer good protection for the back of the hand on rough rides. I gave them four stars because they are nice for the price but they could be better. Here are a few things that could be improved:

Barely any palm padding. I'd prefer a little more cushion. This is more personal choice than an actual flaw.

Lots of gloves (including these) have seams at the fingertips. This is a bad design as it pries your fingernails off your finger if you buy a snug fit. I could wear an XL if it weren't for this seam. I have worn gloves that wrap the fingertip of the glove around and seam it on the back. That is a far more comfortable method. This may sound like a dumb complaint but when you're on a hard ride it can be an annoying distraction.

I wanted a compact exerciser that would give me a semblance of an aerobic workout--I.e. elevate my heart rate. This "stationary bike" (Drive Pedal Exerciser Stationary Bike) is anything but stationary. I had to wedge it against a table and then use a strap to try to stablize it. Instead of moving back and forth, it tilted side to side. The workout was distracting because of the instability of the device. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Great exercise choice for sedentary or obese people, August 22, 2009

I was inspired to purchase a pedal exerciser because of the savings it offers from the more costly stationary bike and because it is a viable fitness option for people like me who are sedentary and obese. I have been using my pedals since they day they arrived by mail and love the fact that they come fully assembled, are cost-effective and compact enough to store without dedicated storage space. There are no excuses to everyday movement with this in your household! It is worth the investment and combined with the use of free weights, provides a full body workout experience. The only drawback is that it should not be touched-moved immediately following a workout because it does generate extreme heat and it also shifts around too much to be used on hardwood floors so it is most conducive to the carpeted areas of your home.

Got the peddler yesterday and put it together and used it last evening. It's a very substantially constructed item- nothing cheezy about it. Being relatively heavy, it doesn't slide around easily when you use it.

The great thing about it is that it is simple to assemble: two screws attach the 2 feet parts to the peddle mechanism and those screws have nice, large, smooth knobs that you turn to tighten down- no sharp ends or tiny screw heads requiring any tools to try to work with arthritic fingers. Also, the knob regulating peddle resistance is smooth and well-made too. This is a great feature- being able to make it harder to peddle as you get stronger (this way you can continue to get stronger).

Foot peddle straps are nice and large and there's no open peddle mechanism or exposed chain to get clothing caught in- and the peddling action is very smooth.

All-in-all it's a high-quality item, not some chintzy thing and it appears to be made to last. Also recommend anyone with knee arthritis to check out Treat Your Own Knee Arthritis.
